APRIL 10, 2012 1 Year Anniversay of the Kokua For Japan Concent
One year ago today, Hawaii came together and reached out to support the sister nation of Japan after the devesating earthquake and tusnami by putting on the biggest benefit concert ever held in Hawaii. Jack Johnson, Henry Kapono, Jake Shimabukuro, Willie Nelson, Mick Fleetwood, The Brothers Cazimero, and a huge list of talent performed with every network station broadcasting a 5 hour show that televised across all local TV stations, radio and the internet. With huge support from people all over the world, 1.6 million dollars was raised for relief efforts. Mahalo again for all that helped to make the event so successful.
